Mr. Fuzzy is Missing!
This is Mr. Fuzzy
When he gets in a fix,
he ain't afraid to fight!
He's tough and loves to stay
out in any kind of weather
He loves to stay outside, but he's got his very own, 45 gallon, heated, bachelor pad. He''ll go in if it's too rough, but only when the prowling is done, that's FM jazz radio...

Something strange happened to him. It looked like someone skinned his cheeks with a knife. It was on both sides. There was furry skin hanging off the the back end/s a little so you have to wonder how he might of done it by scratching. Later, the one on the right side became extended about halfway around his thoat and there was a big patch of it hanging off of his collar at the bottom where the name tag was.

I bought a large pet carrier to take him to the vet but he quit showing up until late at night (Psychic about the vet?), would eat just a little, and take off again. He obviously had a reason to fear coming around here... suddenly. That was for two nights then he never came back... that's been three days. I had taken the collar off in case it was the reason for the injuries because he may of tried getting it off, but he never had a problem with it before. One of those racoons or opossums would not have caused that type of injury. I loosened the collar a bit and went to put it back on him and he got pretty mad.... probably not from having had it for almost two years, but because the "person" held him with it to cut him. Actually, it is not physically possible for him to have created the injuries as they were, at least I don't think so. I tried photographing, but they were worse than you see here... because of that "fuzzy" fur covering it up.

If you know anything about Mr. Fuzzy, please call.

UPDATE!

2/16/2014

Mr. Fuzzy showed back up a couple of nights ago. I figured he was dead. He seemed to be in pretty good shape. He ate some food and left. The next day, I tracked him in the snow. He had gone to a large, open shed --probably use to be a garage-- behind the house across the street. He had also been going back and forth from a small ditch that goes into an underground pipe in front of that house. That pipe probably goes about a half of a block then under the street at the end of this street and in to a small creek between two houses. He hasn't been back since then, but I keep food out there for him and his little house is always there with the bulbs on to keep it warm.

I don't know if someone hurt him or if he's just doing what he wants, but there's not much else to be done except if I catch him in the morning one day, I'll take him to the vet. That stuff around his neck didn't look too good.
